He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Winther and Nellie Winther (Frey); and his brother Phil. He is survived by: his wife Betty A. Johnson; his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Winther (Liz), Carol Engel (John), Donald Johnson (Emma) and Robert Johnson (Anita); and his cousin Donna Pals (Lyle). He is also survived by other cousins, nieces and nephews and their children, and many other friends.
