We bid farewell to Dolores May of Waterloo, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 20, 2025 at the age of 89. Dolores touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond W. Douglas and Wilma F. Douglas (Hockmuth); her husband Ronald F. May; her sisters, Gloria Wickett and Carolyn Shepler; and her son-in-law Jeff Ersland.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Barker (Lonnie), Deb Coen, Cheryl Ersland and Susan Hulme (Gary); her brothers, Ronald Douglas (Ilene) and Glenn Douglas (Janet); and her sisters-in-law, Carol Barnes and Margaret May. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church-Waterloo (505 Franklin St, Waterloo, IA 50703). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (505 Franklin St, Waterloo, IA 50703).
