He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gus McDermott and Viola McDermott (Cox); his wife Marie Williams; his daughters, Kelly Maxcy (Dan) of Johnston and Kristee Kuenstling (Kim) of Dysart; his granddaughter Katie Maxcy of Kansas City, KS; and his siblings, William McDermott (Donna) of Waterloo, Larry McDermott and Ann Welter.
