She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll Hayes and Virginia Staebler Hayes; and her brother Craig Hayes. She is survived by: her husband James Hurst of Waterloo; her siblings, Suzanne Hanna (James) and Tom Hayes (Rhonda) of Cedar Falls; her nephews, Jason Hanna (Holly) of Hingham, MA and Tyler Hayes (Christi Martinez) of Waterloo; her great-niece Emerson Hanna; her great-nephew Kepler Hanna; and her sister-in-law Janet Hayes of Richfield, MN.
