He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Gjere and Edna Gjere (Young); his wife Rita M. Holland; his children, Kim Gjere (Marty) of Troy, MO and Tammy Quam (Kenny); his grandchildren, Jason Gjere (Claire), Jessica Gjere, Kole and Alexis Quam; his great grandchildren, Connor Gjere, Macy Gjere, Brayden Gosney and Caden Gjere; his brothers, Donnie Gjere (Betty) of Mabel, MN and Curt Gjere (Linda) of Decorah; his brother-in-law Larry Geving of Cedar Falls; and his sister Lois Geving.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions on gatherings, a limited visitation (less than 15 people in the building at a time) will be held from 10:30 a. m. until Noon on Saturday, November 28th at Richardson Funeral Service. Attendees are required to bring and wear a face mask, as well as practice social distancing.
