He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd E. Simmons and Dorothy M. Munson Simmons; and his wife Mary Ann Daily. He is survived by: his son Lyle Simmons (Lena) of Cedar Falls; his stepchildren, Harold Roeding of Florida, Marilyn Rubino (Gerald) of Mead, Oklahoma and Marlene Roeding of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Mettlin (Devon), Dylan Simmons (Samantha) and Andrew Bauman (Jessica); his stepgrandchildren, Andy Cooley, Jeremy Roeding (Ami), Colleen Martindale (James), Erik Webber and Laura Eberlin (Russell); his great grandchildren, Elara Mettlin and Theone Bauman; and his siblings, Larry Simmons of Waterloo and Lois Gleason (Merle) of Waterloo.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service West Ridgeway (300 West Ridgeway Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701). A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service (300 West Ridgeway Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701).
