She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Nielson and Alice Nielson (Boldt); her husband Milton B. Bristow; her daughter-in-law Kristi Bristow (Zierke); and her brothers, Albert Nielson and Robert Nielson.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Uhlenhopp (Ron) of Cedar Falls, Cathy Bristow of Omaha, Nebraska and Paul Bristow (Kelly) of Cedar Falls; and her brother Donald Nielson of Cedar Falls. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories (965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, IA 50701). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Linden Avenue United Methodist Church (301 Butler Ave, Waterloo, IA 50703). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Garden of Memories (3669 Logan Ave, Waterloo, IA 50703).
