He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Thome and Rose Hoerter Thome; his wife Kathleen R. Thome; and his siblings, Gene, Leon, Arthur Thome, Arlene Grell and Mary Jane Foxen.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Maschino (Brian) of Sturgis, SD, Dawn Bernal of Johnston, Ellyn Perkins (Todd) of Oelwein, Scott Thome (Paula) of Waterloo and Brian Thome (Chris) of Reinbeck; and his brother Dan Thome. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
