He is survived by: his children, Steve Uchiyama-Hansen (Yumiko) and Sue Fletcher (Rocky) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Jennifer Smith (Aaron) of Wilmette, Daniel Fletcher (Megan) of Palo Alto, California, Miya and Kengo Uchiyama-Hansen; his great grandchildren, Charlie, Audrey Smith of Wilmette, Wyatt and Rhys Fletcher of Palo Alto, California; and his sister-in-law Jan Trunnell of Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
