It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cheryl Ann Shimp of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Dunkerton, Iowa, who passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Charles "Chuck" Fettkether; and her nephew Sawyer Fettkether. She is survived by: her father Donald "Mike" Fettkether; her husband Rodney Shimp; her sons, Christopher and Joshua Shimp (Paige); her grandchildren, Addyson and Ethan Shimp; her brothers, Kevin and Joe Fettkether (Lisa); and her in-laws, Niki Maas (James) and David Shimp (Steve Capua). She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (627 W 4th St, Waterloo, IA 50702).
