He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Caughron and LuWanda Caughron (Schaefer); his wife Kathryn McKee; his daughter Deborah; his grandson Matthew; and his siblings, Edward Kelly, Fred Caughron, Beth LeMere and Pauline Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Caughron (Debra) of Dike, Rodney Caughron (Janice) of Lincoln, NE, Cliff Caughron (Jean) of Waterloo, Jeff Caughron (Lisa) of Normal, IL and Lisa Martin (Jeffrey) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin (Jessica), Brian (Angie), Neal (Anna), Katie (Austin), Lacey, Matt, Luke, Jillian (Cody), Derek (Emily), Kevin, Sarah, Katelyn and Alyssa; and his sisters, Velva "Kitty" Scott of Waterloo and Patsy Koschney of Minnesota. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.
