He is survived by: his son-in-law Richard Hinz of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Katharine Fortier (Jeremy) of Indianapolis, IN and Kara Nordberg (Mike) of Palo; and his great grandchildren, Reagan, Gunther Fortier, Kale and Maia Nordberg.
