He is survived by: his former wife Karen Blackburn; his wife Judy Sherrets-Smith; his children, Zachary Baier (Jennifer), Jeremy Smith (Teresa), Joel Smith, Julie Hensch (Dave), Ariane O'Daffer (Robbert) and Hannah Baier; his brother Tom Baier (Diana) of Pittsburgh, PA; and his sister-in-law Mary Carol Baier of Cincinnati, OH.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
