She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sr. Cage and Cleora Patterson Cage; her brothers, William "Bill" Cage and Bobby Cage; her aunt Jessie Rogers; her great-nephew Tamaris Taylor; and her uncle Isadore "Bubba" Patterson.

She is survived by: her husband Mitchell Berry; her children, Mitchell D. E. Berry, LaTika Kouakou (Ernest "Serge") and Shantrice Greer; and her siblings, Claudette Myles, Viola Cage, Larry Tilman (Julia) and Monroe Tilman (Carmen).

Memorial contributions may be directed in Carolyn's name to her family at 640 Quincy in Waterloo.
