Carol Jean Keninger Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2024, at the age of 89, Carol Jean Keninger of Waterloo, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Jean Keninger to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Sr. Stirm and Criscilla Stirm (Hemenway); her husband Elmer "Red" Keninger of John's Church; her sons, Craig and Kyle; and her siblings, Kenneth Stirm and Betty Lawless.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Cunningham (Craig) of Waterloo, Deanne Andersen (Kurt) of St. Michael, Lisa Alanis of San Antonio, Texas, Kevin Keninger of Cedar Falls, Curt Keninger of Waterloo and Kelly Keninger (Renee) of Hudson; and her siblings, Robert Stirm (Nancy) and Bev Bisone. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church (320 Mulberry St, Waterloo, IA 50703).
