With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carieann Marie Pietan of Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on December 2, 2022 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Terie McNamara (Shadman); and her son Elijah James Showalter. She is survived by: her father Nicholas McNamara; her husband Shane Pietan; her sons, Jacob Showalter and Brady McDonald; and her brothers, Todd McNamara (Joani) and Chad McNamara (Tracy).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Carie's name to her family, which will be later designated elsewhere.
