He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Bjere and Gertrude Anne Berg Ottesen; and his grandson Benjamin Ottesen. He is survived by: his wife Norma Lee Woolery; his children, Barbara Ehrig (Gregory) of Cedar Falls and Edward (Carolyn) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Jason Ehrig-Page (Kate), Ashley Neumann (Henry) and Emily Ottesen (Chad Durnil); his great grandchildren, Caiden Ottesen, Cailee Durnil and Simon Neumann; and his sister Marilyn Denison (Steven) of Rapid City.
The family requests masks be worn and maintain social distancing.
