It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Derifield of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Cresco, Iowa, who passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Mintey and Lucille Mintey (Medhaug); and her siblings, Donald Mintey, Gerald Mintey, Robert Mintey, Dixie Mintey Sutton and Janice Corson.
She is survived by: her sons, Mike Derifield (Heather) and Raymond Derified; her grandchildren, Lindsey Neibuhr (Adam), Sarah Hanawalt (Jessie), Riley Derifield, Gavin Derifield and Isaac Derifield; her great grandchild Everett Hanawalt; her sister-in-law Karol Mintey; and her close friend Kay Hill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
