He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Medhaug and Lena Medhaug (Johnson); his wife Fay; and his siblings, Sanford Medhaug, Howard Medhaug, Edwin Medhaug, Gene Medhaug, Elsie Hartung, Anna Inman, Lucille Mintey and Elnora Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Bert Duane Medhaug Jr (Jenny), Joyce Meyer of Waterloo and Pam Cotton-Cole; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Becky, Dalton, Haley, Amy, Adam, Angie and Sixteen.
