She was predeceased by: her parents, Thorwald Jacobsen and Marian Baker Jacobsen; her husband William O. "Bill" Sass; and her siblings, Bud Jacobsen, Patrick Vollbrecht (Betty), Marlys Schoville, Delores Eastman and Penny Maurer.
She is survived by: her children, Danny of Morgan City, LA, John (Jan) of Adel, Thomas (Barb) of Indianapolis, IN, Richard of Waterloo and Dawn Ridder (Brent) of Ackley. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
