He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Allen and Gwendolyn Marie Meyer (Bruns). He is survived by: his wife Vivian Louise Patterson of Waterloo; his children, Paul A. Meyer (Shawna) of Waterloo, Kevin L. Meyer (Karyn) of Whiteland, IN and Sheri A. Spooner (Rick) of Waterloo; and his siblings, Donna Rausch (Lee) of Sumner, IA, Betty Reif (Gary) of Waterloo, Connie Droste (Jim) of Waterloo, Francis Meyer (Sandra) of Waterloo and James Meyer (Karen) of Mechanicsville, VA.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Cemetery Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Honor Guard by the Waterloo Police Department and Full Military Honors conducted by US Marine Corps Honors Detail, Evansdale AMVETS and Waterloo AMVETS Memorials Memorials may be directed to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1024 W. 8th St., Waterloo, IA 50701.
