He was predeceased by: his parents, Almond J. Sr. Steffen and Evelyn Steffen (Hansen); his wife Marilyn "Maxine" Hamand; his stepmother Constance Steffen; his brothers, Emmet "Pat" Moore and Owen "Jack" Moore; and his sisters-in-law, Karen and Sandy Hamand.
He is survived by: his children, Robert "Bob" Steffen (Connie) of Waterloo, Kathy Steffen of Waterloo and Jerry Steffen (Loree) of Gilbert, AZ; his grandchildren, Jenny, Nick (Rachel), Katelyn, Mitchell and Natalie Steffen; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Teddy and Max; and his brother Vincent Steffen (Ann) of Mazeppa, MN..
