She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Adam and Ruth Ella Luers (Robinson); her husband Donald L. Smith; her brothers, Hank (Bobbi Luers) and Dean Luers; her sister-in-law Mae Luers; and her friend Robert Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Brinning (Linden) of Columbus Junction, IA, Vince Smith (Pat) of Washington, IA, Denise Gage (Gary) of Letts, IA and Diane Adams (Don) of Washington, IA; her grandchildren, Traci Stewart (Tom) of Columbus Junction, IA, Chad Smith (Shannon) of Washington, IA, Ryan Adams (Andrea) of Glenwood, IA and Justin Adams (Taylor) of Belle Plaine, IA; her great grandchildren, Shelly, Mitch Stewart, Bridgett, Larz Smith, Jameson Adams, Alannah and Sadie Adams; her siblings, Harold Luers of Grapevine, TX, Lloyd Luers (Jane) of Mechanicsville, IA and Vivian Griffith (C. J.) of Washington, Iowa; and her sister-in-law Rosemary Luers of Washington.
