She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Earl and Jeanette Gertrude Gesling (Kelly); and her brother Tom Gesling. She is survived by: her husband Harold Murphy of Washington, Iowa; her children, Joanee Clark (Larry) of Letts, Iowa, Scott Davis of Washington, Iowa, Wendy Davis of Columbia, Missouri and Raquel Decker (Chris) of Brooklyn, Iowa; and her stepchildren, Patrick Murphy (Cynthia) of Santa Barbara, California and Tracy Wendorf (Tom) of Scottsdale. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the American Heart Association.
