He is survived by: his mother Joan Palmer Jr. (Lukavsky) of Washington, Iowa; his children, Grant Palmer (Jen) of Swan, Iowa and Brianne Koch (Matt) of Indianola, Iowa; his stepdaughter Sarah Sprague (Clay) of Bondurant, Iowa; and his brother Thomas Joe Palmer (Jennifer) of North Liberty, Iowa. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
