He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Burkholder and Emma Ellen Burkholder (Yoder); his stepmother Elta (Elsie Nov); and his brothers, John, Daniel, Ernest and Oliver.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Irene Reschly; his children, Dwain Burkholder (Kathleen) of Ocala, FL, Steven Burkholder of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jean Molander (William) of Weeki Wachee, FL, Warren Burkholder of Marion, IA, Suzanne Smith (Sam) of Columbus Junction, IA and Marlene Carver (Scott) of Trenton, IA; and his siblings, Donald Burkholder of Lathrop, MO, Roger Burkholder (Sherri) of Palm Coast, FL, Opal Reschly and Mary Jane Troyer (Omer) of North Port, FL. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Bethel Church or Crooked Creek Christian Camp.
