It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Santos V. Perez of Washington, Iowa, born in Elgin, Texas, who passed away on January 5, 2022, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Perez and Rosa Perez (Villalobos); and his brothers, Juan, Raymond and Jose Perez.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Perez of Washington, Iowa; his children, Fred Ballard (Cristi) of West, Texas, Amy Ballard Shelton (Albert) of Itasca, Texas, Chris Perez (Amber) of Aquilla, Texas and Crystal Perez (Justin Evans) of Washington, Iowa; and his siblings, Pedro Perez (Sarah), Pauline Perez Bustamante (Joe), Rosa Perez Hyland (Bill), Ofelia Perez (Carlos) and Mary Perez Bustamante (Steve). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A general memorial has been established.
