He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Roosevelt Smith and Rosemond Marvel Forberger (Edwards); and his siblings, Arnold "Arnie" Smith and Laura Ann Caraotta. He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Marie Smith of Washington, Iowa, Susan Lynne Hathaway of Rock Island, Illinois, Karen Sue Rheinschmidt (Dan) of Cape Coral, Florida, Julie Kay Ingersoll (Bobby) of Lehigh, Florida and William Ray Bragg of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
