It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Roth of Washington, Iowa, born in Milford, Nebraska, who passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Burden and Hazel Burden (Schweitzer); her husband Vernon Roth; her son Ricky; her son-in-law Phil Rich; her grandson Perry Rich; and her brothers, Lowell, Ken, Bill, Dick, Jack, Bob and Gary Burden.
She is survived by: her children, Jason Roth (Lauren) of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Jacquelyn Rich of Crawfordsville, IA and Joni McAlpin (Gordy) of Villisca, IA; her grandchildren, Chad Roth (Esperanza), Brent Roth (Crystal), Noelle Brunet (Justin), Darcy Rich, Neil Rich (Kori), Stephanie Dacey (Tony), Darin Rich (Diana), Kristen Eblen (Eric), Amy Hughes (Cody) and Lori Burton (Alex); and her sisters-in-law, Rosemary Burden, Betty Burden and Kathy Burden. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, Crooked Creek Christian Camp and Hospice Compassus.
