With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mike Wood of Washington, Iowa, who passed away on April 4, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl R. Wood and Wanda Wood (Murphy); and his siblings, Jean Hall (Harold), Joan Seuppel (Leo, Jr.), Frank Wood, Jeanette Bergman (Don), Jane Wood Johnson and Mary Putman (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wood of Washington, IA; his daughters, Nancy S. "Suzanne" Wood (Christopher M. Sumouske) of Washington, IA and Elizabeth Anne Wood Crockett (Brendan) of San Francisco, CA; his grandchildren, Claire Cecilia and William Michael Crockett; and his siblings, Jim Wood (Cathy) of Washington, IA, Tim Wood (Maria) of Washington, IA and Nancy White of Washington, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A eulogy and time of sharing will begin at 2:00 p. m. Mask usage and social distancing is encouraged.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Ainsworth Fire Department, Ainsworth Opera House and the Marr Park Conservation Center.
