It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurine A. Roberts of Washington, Iowa, who passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Stephens and Ethel Stephens (Martin); her husband Dale Eugene Roberts; her daughter Jill Dempsey; and her siblings, Kathy Holthaus, Dave Stephens and James Stephens.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Roberts (Criss) of Ainsworth, Iowa, Eric Roberts of Ainsworth, Iowa and Kathy Jurgenson (Tim) of El Paso, Texas; her son-in-law Tim Dempsey of Urbandale, Iowa; and her sisters-in-law, Peg Stephens of Washington, Iowa and Janel Stephens of Tipton, Iowa.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the United Methodist Church (206 W 2nd St, Washington, IA 52353). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at the Oregon Township Cemetery (2480 Old Military Rd, Ainsworth, IA 52201).
