He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Orion. He is survived by: his mother Mathilda Katherine Kendall (Wedemeyer) of Ankeny, Iowa; his sisters, Katherine Kendall of Ashland, Kentucky and Julie Apolinario of Minnetonka, Minnesota; his nephews, Andy Lyon, Marcus Apolinario, Kevin Apolinario and Eric Apolinario; and his niece Claire Rose Lyon.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends to bring non- perishable food items for HACAP or backpacks and school supplies for area schools.
