With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucy Belle Cheyney of Washington, Iowa, who passed away on January 3, 2022 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron H. Summy and Leona M. Summy (Sinclair); her husband Robert Cheyney; her brother Jim Lee Summy; and her daughters, Sally and Sue Cheyney.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Sinclair Cheyney (Kathy) of North Liberty, Iowa, Pamela Sue Hartsock (Edward) of Washington, Iowa and Elizabeth Ellen Hixson (Gary) of Knoxville, Tennessee; and her siblings, John Summy of Florida and Mary Ellen Sapp of Ottumwa, Iowa.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
