He is survived by: his former wives, Sharon Blankenhorn and Mary Schwab; his sons, Randy Crone of Boseman, Montana and Dave Crone (Terri) of Washington, Iowa; his grandchildren, Laramie Crone (Shannon) and Mariah Crone (Sam Johnson); and his siblings, Doug Crone of Washington, Iowa, Karma Hanson (Roger) of Iowa City, Iowa and Allen Crone of Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
