With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Young Jr. of Washington, Iowa, who passed away on May 15, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Young and Roxie H. Young (Fry). He is survived by: his wife Marty Young of Washington, Iowa; his daughters, Julie Borchardt (Tom) of Ankeny, Iowa, Missy Schooley (Monte) of Iowa City, Iowa and Carrie Ziegelbein (Mark) of Plano, Texas.; his grandchildren, Lindsay Cox (Gideon), Abbie Schooley, Kaley Ball (Thomas), Erin Borchardt, Sam, Noah and Emma Ziegelbein; and his sister Sara Murphy (Keith).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to the United Presbyterian Home.
