He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Mugge; his sister Charlotte Duff; and his brothers-in-law, Lester Dykstra, Wally Nova, Bill Smith, Terry Brown and Loyal Schwisow.

He is survived by: his children, Debra Droll (Steve) of Iowa City, IA, Diane Kimball (Steve Homan) of Ayrshire, IA, Brad Kimball (Julia) of Washington, IA and Teresa Patterson (Jeff) of Ankeny, IA; his grandchildren, Ashley Droll (Kevin), Zach Droll (Mikaila), Brian Schmidt (Kari), Amy Bair (Alex), Austin Schmidt (Carri), Brock Kimball (Cassidy), Lauren Kimball (Brad), Morgan Kimball, Michael Kimball, Charlie Patterson (Emily), Anna Patterson and Truman Patterson; and his siblings, Barbara Dykstra, Arlene Nova, Mary Schwisow, Roger Kimball, Sharon Weeden (Richard), Joan Dirks (Harlan), Donald Kimball (Aming), Jill Smith, Jean Brown and Kent Kimball (Joan). He is also survived by his friends, children, and grandchildren.
