He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ledger and Margaret Ledger (Peck); his children, James, John, Ralph and Lisa; and his siblings, Lester (Betty), Donald (Maxine), Elmer, Ernest (Roberta), Maxine Hahn (Ardell), Dolores Sieren and Geraldine Hubler.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ledger of Washington, IA; his children, Gary Ledger (Ann) of Cumming, IA, Linda Leggat (Scott) of Swisher, IA, Mark Ledger (Jennifer Morgan) of Washington, IA and Cheryl Smith (Daryl) of Ainsworth, IA; his siblings, Clarabell Vittetoe (Wilfred "Bill") of Washington, IA and Virgil Ledger (Jan); and his siblings-in-law, Emily Ledger of Fairfield, IA, Dennis Sieren of Keota, IA and Gary Hubler of Durant, IA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established for the Iowa Pork Foundation for Youth Scholarships and St. James Catholic Church.
