He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Lynn" Wertz and Melva Wertz (Fleming); his brothers, Samuel and Larry Wertz; and his daughter-in-law Sherry.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Greg Wertz of Washington, Iowa and Tracy Strabala (Brian) of Washington Iowa; his grandchildren, Megan Craig (Hunter), Jack Strabala (Emily) and James Strabala; and his sister Linda Hutchcroft (Dave) of Mount Pleasant, Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353). A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Elm Grove Cemetery (1101 S Ave E, Washington, IA 52353).
A general memorial has been established.
