Gertie Loder Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertie Loder of Washington, Iowa, who passed away on November 9, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oakley Payne and Violet Payne (Beranek); her husband Jim; her daughter Jeri; and her sisters, Nadine Harris and Darlene Adams.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janis Powers (Mike) of Pleasant Plain, Iowa and Jamie Hitt (Greg) of Amarillo, Texas; and her grandchildren, James Powers (Erica), Emily Schinstock (Kurt), Michael Powers-Didominicis (Joe), Jen Thurston (Casey), Lydia Houston (Brett), Gregory Hitt (Mollie), Elizabeth Hitt and Preston Hitt. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for the Wounded Warrior Project.
