It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Raymond Colthurst in Washington, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on August 14, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Colthurst and Lottie Marie Colthurst (Reaney); his daughters, Jorjean Marie, Joyce and Janet; his wife Margaret Ellen Wilson; his son-in-law Leslie Mark; his grandchildren, Jeff Mark and Julie Mark; and his sister Betty Caldwell.
He is survived by: his sister Betty Jean; his sons, Ralph Andrew Colthurst (Jolene) of Washington and Thomas Allan Colthurst (Patricia) of Washington, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Joshua Colthurst (Dorinda), Lydia Fagen (Jeff), Alanna Hummel (Michael), Margo Kass (Kyle), Ryan Foor (Anita) and Megan Burns (Jesse). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Memorials have been established for the Ainsworth Community Church, Ainsworth Opera House, or the Washington County Hospital Foundation.
