It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Lee Janecek of Washington, Iowa, born in Richland, Iowa, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Janecek and Flossie Janecek (Farrier). He is survived by: his wife Janet Prescott of Washington; his sons, Ronald Janecek (Jane) of Washington and Richard Janecek (Cheryl Haezebroeck) of Marion; his grandchildren, Kyle Janecek (Jessica), Daniel Janecek (Fawn), Emily Gratner (Jim) and Suma Janecek; and his brother Dale Janecek. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for the Wayland Tractor Club, Wayland, Iowa.
