He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth William and Margaret Cora Holderness Claypool; his wife Mable Pringle (Bodeman); his stepson Danny Pringle; and his siblings, Merlin, Bill, Norman, Ronald Claypool and Evelyn Osweiler.
He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Flynn; his daughter Connie Wide (Tom) of Washington, IA; his stepdaughters, Cathy Maletta (Jack) of Ottumwa, Cindy Pringle of Prairie City and Kelly Fitzsimmon (Mark) of Red Wind, MN; his grandchildren, Brittany Rogers (Andy), Jamie Wide, Ryan Moode, Jessica Jordan (Grant), Adam Moode (Alicia), Chris Clingan (Trish), Cody Clingan, Brady Pringle, Dayton Pringle, Allison Fitzsimmons, Nathan Fitzsimmons, Marissa Fitzsimmons and Stacy Walters; and his sister Lorene DeWitte of Brooklyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
