She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Medaris and Elsie Medaris (Matthies); her husband Edwin K. Sampson; and her siblings, Irene, Kareen and Don.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Hiner (Dean) of Maquoketa, Deb Sampson of Marion and Rhonda Reed (Phil) of Washington, Iowa; and her brothers, Pat Medaris (Joyce) and Dan Medaris (Beverly). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in her memory for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
