He was predeceased by: his parents, Levern Grooters and Beatrice Grooters (Sikkink). He is survived by: his former wife Charlotte Scheevel; his wife Jerilyn Hovey Gehrking; his children, Debbie Watkins of Bothell, WA, Steve (Jeanette) of Edmonds, WA and Dan (Jennifer) of Denver, CO; his stepdaughters, Maren Gilsrud (Scott) of Wykoff, MN and Marlayna Gehrking (Carrie O'Connell) of Pittsburgh, PA; his sister Carol Clausen (Bill) of Omaha, NE; and his nephew Jeff Clausen (Amber) of Tulsa, OK.. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren.
