She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry "Hank" Schnepel and Lucille Schnepel (Dohse); her husband Butch; her grandson Sam Hesseltine; her brother William Schnepel; her siblings-in-law, Gene Collins, Dr. Ben Bendixen, Larry Smith and Alice Schnepel; and her nephew Jeff Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Becky Sternglass (Adam) of Elizabeth, Kristi Myers (Scott) of Eldora, Iowa, Shelley Kinneer (Bryan) of Moravia, Iowa, Toni Hesseltine (Aaron) of Washington, Iowa and Gail Rathmel (Terry) of Washington, Iowa.; her grandchildren, Abigail, Joseph, Brady, Olivia, Matthew, Karlie, Kyle, Carter, Jackson and Madison; her sisters, Jan Bendixen of Coralville, Iowa and Ruth Smith of Waukee, Iowa; and also Marvin Schnepel of DeWitt, Iowa.. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the United Presbyterian Home (1203 E Washington St, Washington, IA 52353).
