She was predeceased by: her parents, George Albert and Nellie Marie Chalupa (Schneider); her husband Jim; her son-in-law Jack Hamilton; and her sisters, Margaret Fry, Marjorie McKinistry, Virginia Houseal and Betty Zehr.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Marsh (Martha) of Wayland, Iowa, Diana Hamilton of Washington, Iowa and Thomas Marsh (Jeanette) of Kalona, Iowa; her grandchildren, Dion Dittrich of Washington, Iowa, Dawn Schindler (Greg) of Washington, Iowa, Nick Dittrich of Washington, Iowa, Annah Brady (Mike) of Kalona, Iowa and Micah Marsh (Erin) of Kalona, Iowa; her great grandchildren, Nicolaus Dittrich, Pearl Dittrich, Stephen Schindler, Kayla Schindler, Kyle Schindler, Amber Dittrich, Dustin Dittrich, Fiona Brady, Declan Brady, Saoirse Brady, Madison Marsh, Jackson Marsh, Levi Marsh and Porter Marsh; her great great grandchildren, Lukas Dittrich, Greyson Dittrich and Cooper Dittrich; and her siblings, Jean Jacoby of California, JoAnn Swift of Waterloo, Iowa, Darrell "Buzz" Chalupa of Wayland, Iowa, Carl Chalupa (Martha) of Washington, Iowa, Ed Chalupa (Virginia) of Washington, Iowa, Doug Chalupa (Annette) of Washington, Iowa, Geraldine "Gerry" Farrier of Washington, Iowa and Vicki Anderson of Wayland, Iowa. She is also survived by three step grandchildren, eight step great-grandchildren, and 14 step great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
