He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwyn Gardner and Leona Gardner (Wagner); and his sister Beverly Limauro. He is survived by: his former wife Carolynn Schantz; his wife Loretta Gardner (Disney) of Washington, Iowa; his daughters, Pamela Nebergall (Gary) of Lebanon, Oregon, Penny Johnson (Eddie) of Salem, Oregon and Donna Miller (Terry) of Brighton, Iowa; his stepson Scott Kent of Chicago, Illinois.; and his sisters, Jan Kiesey (Jack) of Washington, Iowa and Joy Scheer (Mike) of Clarence, Iowa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
