It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dean W. Luers of Washington, Iowa, born in Keota, Iowa, who passed away on June 17, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Luers and Rosalie Luers (Romberg); his wives, Lois Janet Meeks and Maymie Burkett Garringer; his sons, Norman and Paul; his sister Ruth Ilene Conrad (Albert Conrad); and his sister-in-law Betty Luers.
He is survived by: his children, Eldon Luers (Sue) of Elizabeth, Colorado and Shirley Nebel (Ron) of Washington, Iowa; his grandchildren, Aaron Luers of Westminster, Colorado, Katie Pachenco (Joe), Karie Henson (Drew), David Nebel (Desiree), Stephen Nebel of Riverside, Iowa and Mark Nebel (Kelly); and his brother Milo Luers of Washington, Iowa. He is also survived by grandchildren; as well as many great grandchildren; step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
