He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Hubert and Dorothy Alice York (Shafer); his wife Shirley B. Carey; his siblings, Arlene Cherryholmes and Allen York; and his granddaughter Ashley.
He is survived by: his children, Dale York (Connie) of Mandan, Mary Brinning (Bryan) of Washington, Iowa and Jeff York of Washington, Iowa; his grandchildren, Josh, Michelle, Heather, Jennifer, James, Jacob, Tyler and Samantha; and his brothers, Dean York (Sharon) of Davenport, Iowa and Mike York (Becky) of Washington, Iowa. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren 3 great-great-grandchildren.
