Clarence J. Brown Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Clarence J. Brown of Washington, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Clarence J. Brown to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Brown and Clara Brown (Palm); his wife Pauline Brown; and his siblings, Leland, Doyle, Kenneth, Virginia Carris, Leila Mullikin and Josephine Green.
He is survived by: his sons-in-law, Jody Tolander (John) of Swedesburg and Tracy Fagen of Keota, Iowa; his grandchildren, Shaun Wagler of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Brooke Hodge (Scott) of Cartersville, Georgia, Jamie Harris (Phil) of Washington, Iowa and Jeff Fagen (Lydia) of Ankeny, Iowa; his brother Dale Brown (Joyce); and his nephew Glen Mullikin, Jr.. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
He served as the past president of the Noon Kiwanis Club and was a council member of the Washington City Council for four years, making significant contributions to his community. Clarence also volunteered and made donations to the Kewash Nature Trail, and was a member of the Ghostbusters Bike Club, riding RAGBRAI for 11 years.
